Jacob Sedelin continues the mad experiments. The well-known founder of Javascript-ports Mario and Wolfenstein 3D was come to mind by idea to keep a javascript-code in a PNG-picture, thereby using possibilities of a compression of this format for code compression. The author has laid out small library which by means of a method getImageData() object Canvas reads out bytecode from a picture and translates it in clear for function eval() the form.

I’m trying to download a file from the evil Rapidshare (who make you wait about 2 painful minutes before giving you the file) and just after the wait time is over, I get a Captcha looking like this:

In light of the recent news about American Airline's maintenance problems, I sat down and talked with my Dad about aircraft maintenance. You see, my Dad was a maintenance Crew Chief for Pan American Airlines for nearly 30 years and I wanted to understand how things got so bad for American. My Dad explained the inner workings of Pan Am's maintenance program to me. The program dated back to late 1960's and early 1970's and was remarkably agile-sounding

A funny story about disappointment and Clearcase, IBM's (former Rational, former Atria) version control product. It is written in a "love affair" style, like talking about a real break up with his couple...

This one is inspired by a recent forum post, that still leaves me in amazement. Hi, Im wondering how i can create a boat in turing and if someone can post a example. This makes no sense, since one doesn’t normally make water vehicles in Turing, the programming language. Though this got me thinking — if a programming language was a boat, what would it be?

When it rains, it pours! Yesterday was a HUGE day for tech news, especially news relevant to the Java audience. It was such a huge news day, in fact, that I'm certain we have missed some very important headlines.
